Welcome to Free From Broke!

Thank you for stopping by to see what this is all about.

I started Free From Broke in October 2007 because I felt I could contribute my thoughts and experiences on personal finance to readers. So far it’s been great being able to reach out to others as well as discover many great sites full of advice and knowledge. Check out my blogroll for an array of sites that I frequent.

Subjects I write about include: personal finance, money, frugality, saving, investing, college, kids as well as many others. Check out my archives page to see an overview of my articles.

A little bit about me:

I’m married to my wonderful wife and we have two children, ages 8 and 1. We both work full-time in NYC. We find that even with two decent incomes it’s still tough making ends meet. It’s a challenge putting away income for savings, retirement, and someday a new house.

We’ve both had our experiences with credit card debt and have managed to finally get rid of it. Currently our only outstanding debt are some student loans.

Feel free to contact me with thoughts you have on posts I’ve written or if you have any ideas you’d like to see me write about. I love hearing from readers and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as I can.

I encourage readers to leave comments on articles they are interested in. I like hearing your thoughts and I think the comments sections is a nice place to build community. The only thing I ask is that you Do Not Leave SPAM! As this is my site I reserve the right to delete any comments that I deem are spammy.

Disclaimer:

Though I write about subjects such as personal finance and investing I am in no way a professional in those areas. I’m writing about subjects I have a great interest in but you as a reader should make sure to consult a professional and do your research in any financial decisions you make. My articles are informative only.
